Reunion Weekend 2019
GUCC splashed through another weekend of "kayaking." After speedily leaving Glasgow, the bus arrived to pitch tents near the get-on for the Roy. Rather than cresting wave trains and churning drops, they enjoyed an up close look at the topography of the river bed. Perfectly dry but with sore hips they sped to Fort William for the Wet West Ceilidh.
Dripping with excitement for another day on the water, the kayakers broke camp early and headed for Glen Etive. One member's courage stood out from the rest, as Steve's shoe took its first solo run of Triple Step before being rescued an hour later at the base of the rapids. After one run of triple step, the club was exhausted and headed back to Glasgow to dry their socks and repair their tent poles.
Golden good times were had by all.
